Mzalendo Infographic Flyer Design

Every year, Mzalendo produces a detailed infographic flyer design that covers key highlights, events and personalities in both houses.

Mzalendo (‘Patriot’ in Swahili) is a non-partisan project started in 2005 whose mission is to ‘keep an eye on the Kenyan parliament.’ Mzalendo site seeks to promote greater public voice and enhance public participation in politics by providing relevant information about the National Assembly and Senate’s activities.

THE TASK
Mzalendo needed to develop a scorecard that visually covered the highlights and happenings in parliament and the senate in 2019. The infographic scorecard needed to be visually interesting and visually different from the infographics from previous years.

THE SOLUTION
We developed the below artwork, focusing on creating caricatures of the key players in each section and creating little shareables that could be shared on social media by people.
